Get regular executive-level insight to set your priorities, coordinate your projects and turn strategy into concrete decisions — without hiring a full-time director.
Complianz works alongside the CEO or the executive committee to prepare structural decisions, track objectives, challenge projects, coordinate internal and external expertise, and keep a roadmap that is actually steered.
You remain the decision-maker. We help you decide faster, with more perspective and less scatter.
Included in this pack
One-off
Recurring
The recurring elements of the subscription, kept up to date month after month.
Priorities, projects, owners, deadlines and trade-offs.
Business, sales, financial or operational KPIs useful for decision-making.
Agenda, required data, decisions to take and points of attention.
Decisions taken, owners, deadlines and follow-up.
Progress, blockers, risks, dependencies and required trade-offs.
Ad hoc analysis of an investment, supplier, hire, tool or project.
What must actually move forward during the quarter.
Results, alerts, decisions and next priorities.
Structural decisions stay concentrated on the leader, with no leadership backup.
Workstreams coexist with no common thread, shared priorities or joint follow-up.
The forums exist, but they handle day-to-day more than the real trade-offs.
You need a leadership function, not necessarily a full-time role.
An external view able to challenge projects, priorities and decisions.
A leadership coordinator is missing to align internal and external expertise.
Hires, investments, organisation: decisions pile up faster than the method.
You know you need to decide, but the rhythm, criteria and follow-up are not in place.
Clarify blockers, prioritise, then decide — without recurring support.
Roles, processes, governance and day-to-day operations to structure.
Several workstreams to coordinate in a single programme, through to results.
A specialised assignment (compliance, IT, digital, AI…) rather than a leadership function.
Outsourced strategic direction is designed for a recurring steering need, not to artificially replace a one-off assignment.

Fictional example
| Project | Status | KPI | Expected decision |
|---|---|---|---|
| New CRM | At risk | 65% | Provider choice |
| Certification | In progress | 40% | Phase 2 budget |
| Acquisition | On track | 108% of target | Accelerate |
| Hiring | Pending | — | Role validation |
A leadership dashboard links metrics to projects and pending decisions — not to a pile of reports.
A leadership function with no confusion of responsibilities
Analysis, challenge, recommendations, scenarios, coordination and follow-up.
Final trade-off and accountability for decisions.
Implementation and field feedback.
Specialised expertise and execution.
The challenger role
A leader often has plenty of people who can execute a decision, but far fewer who can challenge the problem itself.
Should this project actually be launched?
Is this the right time?
Is the budget coherent?
Is there a simpler alternative?
Which project should come first?
What should we stop?
Trade-off logic
Example
| Project | Impact | Effort | Risk | Decision |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Invoicing automation | High | Low | Low | GO |
| New CRM | High | High | Medium | To be scoped |
| New offer | Medium | Medium | Medium | Test |
| Full IT overhaul | Medium | Very high | High | Postpone |

Intended outcome
The CEO keeps the important decisions without remaining the checkpoint for every decision.
Operating rules
No strategic project without an owner.
No KPI without an associated target.
No meeting without an expected decision.
No significant investment without a trade-off.
No workstream without a deadline or success criterion.
Each block describes a possible field of intervention, not a fully included service.
Positioning, priorities, investments, new projects, resource allocation.
Responsibilities, ways of working, coordination, decision circuits.
Objectives, KPIs, results, gaps and corrective actions.
Sales priorities, pipeline, profitability, offers and growth.
Arbitration of marketing investments, acquisition and digital transformation.
IT systems, automation, AI, compliance, CSR, organisation…
The fee corresponds to the leadership capacity actually reserved: meeting cadence, depth of preparation and number of topics steered — not a fixed catalogue of deliverables.

Possible decisions
A consultant often works on a defined topic, delivers a recommendation, then stops. Outsourced strategic direction is set up over time: it prepares trade-offs, tracks priorities, challenges projects and maintains a decision rhythm. The need is no longer only to know what to do, but to decide and steer over time.
You are not hiring a full-time director. You reserve leadership capacity: a cross-functional view, decision preparation, coordination and follow-up. The CEO remains the decision-maker and remains accountable. It is a leadership function that actually exists, without creating an extra salaried role.
No. We analyse, challenge, propose scenarios and follow execution. The final trade-off and accountability for decisions stay with the CEO or leadership. Our role is to improve the quality and speed of your decisions — not to legally or operationally replace the company’s directors.
Yes, depending on the level of support. We prepare the forums (agenda, data, expected decisions, points of attention) and can take part to challenge and frame trade-offs. You remain in charge of the forum and of the votes.
Yes. We do not necessarily replace your internal or external experts (firm, agency, CIO, legal counsel, managers). We help align their work with the same objectives and the same priorities, so the CEO is no longer the only convergence point.
A 3-month initial phase is recommended: diagnosis and set-up, then steering and first decisions, then measurement and stabilisation. A leadership function is not built in a month. After that, support continues month by month, with a review every 3 months to maintain, strengthen, reduce or move to autonomy.
It depends on the capacity reserved. The essential level typically means a monthly checkpoint; the strengthened level a fortnightly steering rhythm, plus preparation of leadership forums. Short checkpoints and on-demand analyses are added when a structural decision cannot wait. The exact number is set at scoping, not in a rigid bundle.
Yes. Meetings are not the core of the assignment: value is also created between checkpoints — preparation, decision-support notes, dashboard, decision log, expert coordination and action follow-up. That is one of the factors that make the fee vary.
We scope the need, help choose or align the right expert, and steer the workstream at leadership level. Operational services or specialised projects (compliance, IT, digital, AI, etc.) are budgeted separately when they go beyond the strategic direction role.
Yes. Every 3 months we ask whether the assignment is still useful at the current level. Possible decisions are: maintain, strengthen, reduce, or move to autonomy. We have no interest in staying longer, or more present, than you actually need.
With leadership indicators, not hours spent: average time to a trade-off, share of strategic projects on time, number of simultaneously active projects, selected business KPIs, decisions actually executed, and the level of dependence on the CEO. The aim is to change the quality of decisions, not to “come and talk for two hours a month”.
