The CPF (Compte Personnel de Formation) is a French scheme that allows every employee and self-employed worker to fund professional training throughout their career. CPF-eligible AI training courses are those preparing for certifications listed on the RNCP (Répertoire National des Certifications Professionnelles) or RS (Répertoire Spécifique) — guaranteeing the value and recognition of the training on the job market.
CPF-eligible AI training lets you learn artificial intelligence without dipping into your salary or savings — provided your CPF balance is sufficient.
How do I use my CPF to train in AI?
1. Check your balance: log in to moncompteformation.gouv.fr with France Connect to see your available balance. The CPF is topped up by €500/year (€800 for workers without qualifications), capped at €5,000 (€8,000 for workers without qualifications).
2. Choose your AI training: search for AI courses on the Mon Compte Formation platform, filtering by domain (artificial intelligence, data science, digital). Compare certifications, content, duration and reviews.
3. Submit your request: select the course and submit your application on the platform. An 11 working-day cooling-off period applies before you can start (legal requirement).
4. Start your training: if your balance covers the full cost, you pay nothing. Otherwise, co-funding makes up the difference — your employer can contribute, or you can top up personally.
